Masonry Heaters--More than just a Wood Stove

Masonry Heaters are wood-fired and are more efficient than the top of the line wood-fired stove or wood-fired furnace. This old world technology has been around for centuries. They are fired only once or twice a day for two or three hours. This firing (including extremely hot flue gases) heats the masonry. This heat is then radiated over time into the living area as the heater slowly cools, with no need to refire until the next day.
