Nothing warms your home like wood. This versatile, renewable fuel has been the heat source of choice for centuries. Only recently has it become convenient, controllable, economical, efficient and safe. Modern wood stoves and wood-fired masonry heaters utilize the natural tendency of hot air to rise and cold to sink, enabling fire to burn properly seasoned wood more effectively. This yields the most warmth for the least work. No more getting up in the middle of the night to stoke the stove.

But isn't wood heat dirty? Not anymore. Wood heat is green heat. Unlike Grandma's pot-bellied stove, modern EPA certified wood stoves and fireplaces have very low particulates due to high efficiency combustion. The wood appliances we carry "burn" the smoke before it leaves, reducing emissions, much like a catalytic converter does on your car. Our stoves make burning wood carbon-neutral -- that is, they emit no more carbon dioxide than wood does rotting in the forest.

Modern design, state of the art insulation, ventilation and through the wall ductwork allow some wood-fired appliances to be safely installed nearly anywhere in your home. Outside air provides oxygen for the flame. Excessive smoke, soot and draftiness (common in older stoves and open front fireplaces) have been eliminated. Ash removal and flue maintenance, while still necessary, are minimized.

Best of all, wood-fired stoves, masonry heaters, bake ovens and fireplaces keep the warmth inside your home where it belongs. Wood-fired heat sources work with or without electricity, providing heat during ice-storms or other power outages. Nearly all are glass-fronted, in contemporary or traditional styling, providing the flickering play of dancing flames to enhance your living spaces.
